What Resources does HolaCanada Provide?
HolaCanada is divided in numerous resource sections to facilitate easy navigation and integration of Canadian related Spanish content and culture into your Introductory Spanish course.
|
Web Modules
Web Modules are Canadian exercises and activities that supplement our Spanish textbooks. Now you have an additional resource bank of applications that you can integrate into your course and this will help your students learn the basic concepts more clearly as they become engaged by learning tools that they can relate to here in Canada. These exercises will also help students gain a stronger understanding of Canadian Hispanic Culture.
|
Canadian Hispanic Culture
Web resources that link students to various sources of Canadian Hispanic culture. It is important for students to gain an understanding of how Hispanic Culture is developing in Canada and how many resources exsist in various media forms that they can learn from. This will make their learning the Spanish language a more exciting and relevant adventure!
|
Translation Exercises
Some teachers of Introductory Spanish like to integrate a series of Translation Exercises into their curriculum. We have exercises available here in MS Word format which can be downloaded and used as homework or in-class exercises.
|
Spanish Media Links
The Internet is filled with links from all over the world where students can connect to a host of Spanish media. These include Spanish radio, television, newspapers, periodicals, and web sites. In this section we provide links to these media sources so students can explore for general interest or for research in course assignments and projects.
|
Houghton Mifflin's Spanish Textbook Resources
Houghton Mifflin has 6 Introductory Spanish textbooks. In this section we provide complete descriptions of the textbooks, their student resources, and instructor/student ancilaries.
